Laine Magazine was founded in Finland in 2016 by Jonna Hietala and Sini Kramer for pretty much this reason. They would also go on to publish knitting books & collections as the magazine slowly reached the 16th issue in your hands.
Grounded in good design & modern taste, they sought to celebrate the renewed interest in handicraft and to spotlight the many facets of the knitting world beyond the patterns–giving due credit to the designers, the testers & caretakers of a centuries-old craft.
